It was nice to see my essay on Free and Open Source Software in Pakistan (unexpectedly) make it to the cover of the Linux For You magazine. Thanks to the International Open Source Network for giving me the opportunity to compile this in the first place, and making it sharable! I need to work on some of the corrections and additions that I received feedback on. It was very interesting working on this report… and spreading the word about how much is actually happening in a way that sometimes doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

Nice work Frederick, but you need to get the information and varify it rather. The way FOSSFP is covered in the article, it gives an idea that FOSSFP is a large and active organization dedicated for FOSS. The truth is there is no such organization in Pakistan. Check their website if it exists or try to call them up. They just showed up in 2005 and did a wonderful event FOSSAC 2005 jointly with OSRC. This was there first and last FOSS activity in Pakistan. I will be glad to know if the writer can give me a proof of a single micro activity other than FOSSAC carried out by FOSSFP.
